‘Wintertides’ is a meditation on how landscape and environment inspire Sam's compositions through her love and empathy for natural places. Written during the winter of 2022 on the east coast in Scotsburn and the west coast at Lena Residency, on Galiano Island, it is inspired by contrasting landscapes and the collaboration of bi-coastal communities featuring Jen Yakamovich and Geordie Hart.
